Nothing has been released officially, and yes we all know that IMDB.com can be changed by users, however they do have Mackenzie Foy listed as Renesmee! Usually if there is a mistake on IMDB.com, it is caught quite quickly. But remember — I used the word usually . We did report a few days ago that news hit that Mackenize was very close to signing on as Renesmee. Those of you who were upset over a 9 year old possibly playing Renesmee — have you changed your mind? Bill Condon has recently released the names of some of the experts involved with Breaking Dawn. There is going to be some pretty big names and huge talent behind the scenes for this movie. I truly believe that everything will fall into place and work out well! We shall see...
It’s official: The Denali Coven has been cast!! Eleazar will be played by Christian Camargo (known for his roles in The Hurt Locker, and as Dexter’s crazy brother in Showtime’s hit show Dexter), Tanya is played by Myanna Buring, Kate will be played by Casey LaBow (CSY: NY), and Carmen will be portrayed by Mia Maestro! We had previously reported that Maggie Grace has been cast as Irina. Here is the press release direct from Summit Entertainment - THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN — The Denali Coven Casting Update Summit Entertainment announced today the following have been cast in THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN for roles in The Denali Coven as outlined below. The Denali Coven is comprised of Christian Camargo (THE HURT LOCKER, Dexter) as Eleazar; Casey LaBow (Moonlight) as Kate; Mia Maestro (Alias, POSEIDON) as Carmen; MyAnna Buring (DOOMSDAY) as Tanya; as well as previously announced Maggie Grace (Lost, TAKEN) as Irina. The Denali Coven is the only other “vegetarian” vampire coven in the world, considered cousins to the Cullens.
Deadline.com is reporting that actress Maggie Grace (best known for her role as Shannon from the hit TV series Lost) has been cast as Breaking Dawn Vampire, Irina, of the Denali Coven - Maggie Grace will play a new vampire threat to Kristen Stewart’s Bella in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn. Grace, who played Liam Neeson’s in-distress daughter in Taken, will play the role of Irina in the final installments of the Stephenie Meyer novel, which director Bill Condon is directing in two separate films. Irina is a member of the Denali coven, considered cousins to the Cullen clan as the only other “vegetarian” vampire group. When Irina blames the Cullens for the death of her lover, her actions set in motion a terrifying chain of events. The first of two pictures will be released by Summit Entertainment on November 18, 2011, followed by the finale on November 16, 2012.
E!Online has a new interview with Breaking Dawn Vampire Kellan Lutz (aka Emmett Cullen). In the interview Kellan discussed his hopes for Emmett during the Breaking Dawn birth scene, and what his take is on the scene thus far (obviously based off of the script) - As for that much anticipated, hard-to-imagine birthing scene… Lutz cracked, “I think they should show it and have Emmett in the background laughing.” Joking aside, Lutz says he knows what director Bill Condon has planned for the potentially gory sequence. “I love the way that they’re showing it,” he said. “I really thought that was going to be really a tough thing to show.”
